Downloading BBC IPlayer content from abroad
If you forgot to download something on BBC iPlayer before you travel, then you could be stuck, because the BBC block downloads for content from outside of the UK. However if you can connect to a UK network via a VPN or other means, you can see and click the download link.  Then disconnect from the VPN (which will probably be slower) and the download will continue in the Download Manager even...
